20th, December 2012 is one of the most memorial points of my life because I took a final Ph.D. dissertation defense with special events. Up to now, I have been the first Vietnamese student and foreigner at Department of Civil Engineering, National Taiwan University (NTU), who get the Ph.D. degree. The dissertation defense committee members were very special with Professor Yin’s presence, who is an outstanding figure in both academic and ecomomic fields. Although he is a very busy person, he gave me many invaluable comments and encouragements. Moreover, I got a lot of encouragements and flowers from more than 20 of my friends, such as Vietnameses in National Taiwan University Vietnamses Student Association (NTUVSA), Taiwanese in CEM, Indonesian in SE, and Nepolese in CEM. Maybe this is the most crowded Ph.D defense that I have ever joined and known in Taiwan. Vietnameses always join the Ph.D defenses with a crowded number including parents, relatives friends, and colleagues, while the local Ph.D. defenses have very few audiences; sometimes there are only committee members, the presenter, and a defense secretary. It is the very special point for me. Thank all Professors in the advisory committee, dissertation defense, at Department of Civil Engineering as well as my friends so much. I will always remember this point. Thank all of you again, good bye Taiwan and see all of you in Vietnam.
